Cup Characteristics: Sweet Melon, Floral with Dark Chocolate

The Koke Cooperative is a collection of over 490 small coffee farms in the most mountainous region of Yirgacheffe. Each farmer produces their coffee on an average size of 1 hectare. The coffee is then washed and processed at Solomon Worku’s Mill collectively named Koke Cooperative. These coffees are grown in under an abundance of shade trees and rich volcanic soil. Coffees from this region are renowned for their remarkable sweetness and brightness in the cup. The Koke Cooperative backed up this reputation by producing a winning lot in the 2007 East African Fine Coffee Association competition. Koke is a member of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU).
